Sunshine, Birds, and ….Spray Paint Space Art?? You have to see this…
Saturday was absolutely beautiful.聽 The sun was shining, the birds were busy making new nests for the season 鈥 unfortunately, this was in my neighbor fascia board, but nonetheless beautiful to see signs of spring.聽 It was hard to pass up the opportunity to take a walk in town.
Unforgettable photos hosted a vendor showcase as a fundraising event for Relay for Life.聽 One of the vendors was Grant W. Willis. 聽Grant is a spray paint artist.聽 He creates his 聽incredibly artistic work聽with only cans of spray paint (Rustoleum is his paint of choice), painting knives, lids, plastic bags, and ordinary paper.

While Grant has always been artistic, the ideas for this work came鈥ait for it鈥hile he was in a coma.聽 Not just a food coma, like many of us experience after Sunday meals, but the real deal.聽 He spent two months in a coma during the summer of 2012 and he says he dreamt of strange worlds.聽 These paintings are his attempt to recreate and see those lands again.
Grant will create using custom colors and will always take requests. 聽His fees are reasonable. 聽Depending on size, these one-of-a-kind paintings start around $30.00. 聽He can be reached at 734-277-8510.
