Thanks for supporting the Farm To Table Dinner

The September 16 Farm to Table Dinner held at Alber Orchard in Manchester on September 16 was a great success, thanks to widespread community support!

“We are very humbled and grateful by the outpouring of support we received for our recent fundraiser to help operate the 5 Healthy Towns’ Farmers Markets in Chelsea, Dexter (Winter Market), Grass Lake, Manchester and Stockbridge,” said Ruth VanBogelen, chair of this year’s Farm To Table Dinner.

The group is happy to announce that the event netted $12,892, which will go directly to support the five local Farmers Markets.

The dinner had:
• 32 businesses or individuals who were sponsors
• 7 restaurants/bakery donated their time and talents
• 11 farms/businesses/individuals donated food
• 65 farms/businesses/individuals donated items for door prizes
• 10 businesses/individuals donated items for site infrastructure and decorations
• 5 people donated their professional DJ and/or photography services
• 76 people volunteered to help with the event the week of the event
• 138 tickets sold (+12 tickets to super sponsors) made this a completely SOLD OUT event!

“We are overwhelmed and want to thank you all very much for your generous support!” VanBogelen said.
