Free prom dress shop in March
The Manchester Ladies Society will be holding聽its sixth聽annual 鈥淔ree Prom Dress Boutique鈥 on Friday, March 15th from 2:45 to 5 pm in the Manchester High School Library. The Boutique will be open after 5 pm and the next day, Saturday March 16th by appointment for girls unable to attend on Friday. All appointments must be made by emailing聽manchesterladiessociety@gmail.com by March 14th. Once again, girls will be able to come browse, try-on, and leave with a dress for free. All girls going to prom, whether they attend MHS or not, are welcome to come search for a dress.
As in previous years, all of the dresses in the shop will be dresses that have been聽 donated, and although they’ve already received enough dress donations throughout the year to replace those that went home with girls last year,聽the Ladies Society is sending out a call for聽dresses as the more dresses, the larger the selection.
If you have a clean formal dress you would like to donate, bring it to the front desk of the Manchester District Library during regular operating hours. The library accepts聽dress donations year-round but in order to be used in this year prom dress boutique, donations need to be brought to the library by March 14th. In addition to dresses, the Ladies Society accepts dress shoes, wraps, small purses, and jewelry. All聽donations are tax deductible and donors will receive a receipt they can save for tax purposes.
