Joe Walter Wiseman (March 19, 1960鈥揂pril 16, 2023)

Joe Walter Wiseman, 63, passed away on April 16, 2023, in Morganton, N.C., after a life filled with joy and love. He was born on March 19, 1960, in Dearborn, Mich., to Jacqulyn (n茅e Palise) and Joe Henry Wiseman.

Joe was a man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was renowned for his selflessness and devotion to his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone smile with his infectious laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting, and was a source of inspiration to all who knew him, always finding ways to make the best out of any situation.

Joe dedicated over 30 years of his life to working at Wilbur Plumbing, where he began as a 鈥渄itch digger鈥 and rose through the ranks to become Field Superintendent. His unwavering commitment to his craft was evident to all who knew him, as he became renowned for his strong work ethic and unparalleled craftsmanship. Joe pride in his career was a driving force throughout his life, and his legacy (and reputation) will be remembered for years to come.

Joe leaves behind his beloved wife, Denise (n茅e Guy); his children, Nicole (Jake) Morse and Alyssa Wiseman (Michael Clontz); and his cherished grandchildren, Leo, Lexi, and Liv Morse. He is also survived by his mother, Jacqulyn Wiseman, and his brothers, Jack (Janice), Mark Troy (Janice), and Todd (Pamela) Wiseman, all of whom were dear to his heart. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe Henry Wiseman.

His kindness, humor, and dedication will always be remembered, and his memory will live on through his family and friends. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Saturday, June 24, with details to come.
