Desiring and receiving the gift of prayer: St. Mary hosting Oremus

by Bill Kwolek, Manchester St. Mary Church听
Ask yourself the big questions: Why am I here, does God really exist, what happens when I die, what is it like after death? Why do I feel the negatives of loneliness and human weakness鈥攐r the positives of truth, meaning, and relationship. Prayer seeks answers to these questions.
Do you recognize God voice in your daily life and know how to respond? Prayer is simply a conversation鈥攚ith God. Prayer can be gratifying, much like talking with an old friend.
Manchester St. Mary Church is hosting 鈥淥remus鈥 鈥 eight 90-minute sessions of video and follow-up discussion. It answers questions: What is prayer, how to prepare, using the Bible for prayer, how to make prayer both relational and spiritual, discernment, and dealing with distractions. Above all, it teaches us how to SURRENDER our human will to God Divine Will鈥攁nd seek some type of confirmation that GOD IS LOVE and always has our best interests in His plan.
Meet in the church basement on Thursdays at 7pm. There are eight sessions running May 22 through July 10. Sign up in the church vestibule.
