MHS 9/11 game to honor first responders and veterans

This Friday, September 11, is the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks that resulted in the deaths of 2,977 people, including 415 first responders. There will be a remembrance ceremony held before the start of the Manchester High School football home game that night.

Angie Schaible, one of the organizers, stated, “First responders and veterans will get in free to the game that night. We have invited the Manchester Fire Department, Washtenaw County Sheriff Department, and HVA along with the American Legion to attend for the ceremony on the field.”

The Manchester Flying Dutchmen will be playing the Michigan Center Cardinals with kickoff at 7pm. Admission is $5 at the gate with senior citizens and 4 and under free.
